School Council

Garston Manor’s school council is a group of students who are elected annually from our year 8-10 students to represent the views of all our students and to improve our school. It also includes our head and deputy head boys and girls

Our school council meets once every half-term - with Miss Swartz present - to discuss and sort out problems. These may include school lunches, behaviour or ideas for fundraising events.

Members of our school council will be responsible for discussing the suggestions of their family groups and carrying out the ideas that have been agreed, such as planning discos, writing newspaper articles, or meeting with catering staff.

We have a small budget at our disposal. In the past this has been used to purchase a bench in the memory of a favourite teacher, and buy prizes to be bought by students with their credits.
